On Thursday, November 22nd 2007, Luton Town chairman David Pinkney placed Luton Town Football Club, Luton Town (Holdings) Limited and Jayten Stadium Limited into administration.  The move came due to an FA investigation into alleged financial irregularities at the club (which were aimed mainly at the club and former chairman Bill Tomlins), as well the ongoing heavy losses sustained by the football club. Mr. Pinkney's decision to place the club into administration came just a day after directors John Mitchell and Richard Bagehot resigned from their positions.  It was yet another twist in the ongoing 'soap opera' at Luton Town and was the 3rd time in just 8 years that the Hatters had been in administration.  As a result of going into administration, Luton Town were given a mandatory 10-point deduction by the FA, which plummeted the Hatters to the bottom of the League One table.  Soon after, key players were sold by the administrators, which led to manager Kevin Blackwell and his staff resigning.  However, just days later, Blackwell and his assistants were sacked by the administrators and Hatters legend Mick Harford was appointed as the new Luton Town manager.  The eventual good news that Hatters fans had been looking for came on January 15th 2008, when the administrators announced that Luton Town Football Club 2020 Ltd. had been chosen as the accepted new buyers for the club.  The fans' led group, given backing by all three of Luton Town's Supporters Groups, are led by TV presenter and Hatters fan Nick Owen, and also include two former Luton Town players, Steve Foster and Godfrey Ingram.  Below you can find links to everything relating to Luton Town going into administration: -
