LUTON STRIKER TALBOT TURNS DOWN BRESCIA MOVE
Drew Talbot
Luton Town striker Drew Talbot has turned down a move to Italian Serie B side Brescia.

Brescia, who finished sixth last season in Serie B, and who are currently in a play-off place, have shown plenty of interest in the former Sheffield Wednesday striker, and they matched that with a firm offer, but Talbot has decided to stay at Kenilworh Road.

The move by the Italian side for Talbot – who hasn’t hit a League goal this season – is somewhat bizarre to say the least and it is highly likely that they spotted the energetic front man playing in the live televised FA Cup match with Liverpool, when he earned the man-of-the-match award against The Reds at Kenilworth Road.

Speaking of the move by Brescia to sign Talbot, Hatters manager Mick Harford said, "There was an interest in Drew Talbot, but that has all disappeared.

"Brescia had shown a lot of interest in him, but Drew doesn't want to go and play in Italy. It is such a short period of time to decide to go and move to another country.

"Some clubs have asked about taking players on-loan but we are not really in the situation to loan anybody out.”

Meanwhile, Luton Town’s young 18-year-old midfielder Robert Sinclair has joined Blue Square Premier side Salsibury City on a two-month loan deal, where he links up with another fellow Hatter on loan with Salisbury, defender Edward Asafu-Adjaye.
