HATTERS DUO COYNE AND ROBINSON SIGN NEW DEALS

Luton Town duo Chris Coyne and Steve Robinson have given the Hatters a major boost as the out-of-contract duo have both penned new two-year deals to stay at Kenilworth Road.

They become the first of 11 out-of-contract players to sign new deals and have delighted both manager Mike Newell and the Hatters supporters by singing to the new contracts.

Central defender Coyne had another excellent season and was rumoured to be attracting the interest of Tranmere Rovers, while Robinson has stated he had received an excellent offer from another club, but, having met Bill Tomlins, the man in charge of the new consortium in control of the club, he knew his future should be in Bedfordshire and the club look to have an exciting future.

The club are also hopeful that other out-of-contract players will follow suite and sign the new deals offered to them as the Hatters look to mount a promotion challenge for next season.
