FULL-BACK FOLEY PENS NEW HATTERS DEAL
Luton Town full-back Kevin Foley has delighted the Hatters by signing a new two-and-a-half-year contract to stay at Kenilworth Road.
The news come just a fortnight after rookie striker Enoch Showunmi signed a similar contract following his rapid emergence after moving from non-league Willesden Constantine.
Foley was thrown into the first-team squad this season following the arrival of Mike Newell as manager and he has never looked back, having progressed through the junior ranks with the club. He has operated at both right-back and on the right of midfield.
He netted his first goals for the club in a League Cup victory over Yeovil Town and at Premiership Charlton Athletic, and quickly followed that up by netting at home to Port Vale in a 2-0 win. So impressive was his form, that he was called into the Republic of Ireland U-21 squad, but, unfortunately, injury forced him to miss his international debut.
However, he recovered from that setback to continue his impressive form for the Hatters, although he has missed the last few matches with a niggling leg injury.
